Day 1
Haridwar to Barkot via Mussoorie
Uttarakhand welcomes you wholeheartedly. On arrival at the meeting point in Haridwar, a representative will welcome your presence. Commence your journey from Haridwar to Barkot by embarking on a scenic drive. On your way, you will be crossing the beautiful settlement of Mussoorie.
With picturesque mountains as the backdrop, this quaint little hill station is the perfect way to kickstart your holiday. First, visit the Mussoorie Lake. It is a picturesque water body that is bounded by green forest terrains. It is an ideal spot for spending time with yourself or your loved ones.
Next, head to the Kempty falls. No trip to Mussoorie can be complete if you have not visited the much-famed Kempty Falls. The waterfall plunges from a height of over 1000 meters cascading into a pool where you can jump in and swim.
After sightseeing, head to Barkot. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in and retire for the night
Day 2
Day Excursion to Yamunotri
Give a quick head start to your day with lots of excitement and a healthy breakfast. Meet our representative and drive to Jankichatti or Phoolchatti. This is the start point of a beautiful trek route that will take you to Yamunotri. It is set about 3,293 metres above the sea level. If you are not up for trekking in the mountains, you may also choose to ride on the back of the horse. An option for a hand-driven cart is also available for pilgrims. You will be visiting the Jamunabai Kund on your way, just before reaching the Yamunotri temple. At the kund, take a dip and let its warm waters refresh you. There are a number of other thermal springs as well nearby.
Then, head to the temple. At the entrance, you will see the Divya Shila which is a rock pillar worshipped by all devotees. The Yamunotri temple, as the name suggests is devoted to Goddess of River Yamuna.
After visiting the temple, soak in the beautiful views of the surrounding valley. Later, trek back to Jankichatti.
Drive your way back to the hotel in Barkot and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3
Travel from Brakot to Uttarkashi
Start your tour to the beautiful destination of Uttarkashi on this day of your trip. Once you have had breakfast, check out from the hotel in Barkot and start driving. Uttarkashi is dotted with unmatched pieces of surreal landscapes and is also home to a number of ashrams and ancient temples.
On your way, take a quick halt to visit the Shiv gufa. First spotted in 1998, the cave is known for its naturally formed Shivling and miraculous falling of water on the top of it. Ever since its discovery, it has always been a place of worship and centre of faith of the devotees. The continue driving and upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check in at the hotel and head out for sightseeing. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple that houses one of the only 12 jyotirlingas.
The aarti held here and its grandness is something you must witness.
End your day with a lip-smacking dinner and head back to your accommodation to rest.
Day 4
Day excursion to Gangotri
This day shall be a long one with a lot of things to do. Hence, it is suggested that you start your day early with a scrumptious morning breakfast meal. Then get ready and head out for a long drive to Gangotri- one of the major religious spots of the Char Dham pilgrim tour from Haridwar.
Make a quick stop at Gangnani where the Garam Kund awaits you. take a dip in the hot natural sulphur springs that will relax your mind, body and soul. Bathing in this pool has both scientific as well as spiritual significance. Then, continue driving to reach the ancient temple of Gangotri via the Harsil Valley. The route via this valley is extremely picturesque and tranquillity.
Finally, when you arrive at Shree Gangotri, take a dip in the River Ganga- India’s holiest stream. You can also enjoy sightseeing and watch the mesmerising sunset in the Himalayan mountains. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival, have a lip-smacking meal and spend the night at the hotel comfortably.
Day 5
Travel from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
Pack your bags and check out from Uttarkashi today after a good breakfast feast. Today, you will be driving to Guptkashi- a place that holds great importance in Indian mythology. As per legends, it is this place where Pandava brothers found Lord Shiva.
The entire route is laid alongside the striking river Mandakini at Tilwara. With the gushing water, soak in the majestic views of the surrounding mountains and Deodar trees as well. The temple town is set at a height of 1319 m. Upon arrival, first head to visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. As the name states, the idol showcases half a body of man and another half of a woman, representing Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. After you seek blessings, head to the hotel, check in and spend the overnight comfortably in Guptkashi.
Day 6
Travel from Guptkashi to Kedarnath
You will need all your energies today, so make sure to gulp down some healthy breakfast and check out from the hotel in Guptkashi. meet with our representative who will drop you to Sonprayag. From here, a local jeep will take you to Gaurikund. That is because it is the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. If you have pre-booked the helicopter ride, then transfers to the helipad will be arranged for.
The Kedarnath temple lies amidst the mighty and breath-taking peaks of Himalayas. It is one of the most worshipped places in the country as it houses Lord Shiva’s highest of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Thousands of pilgrims come here each year to pay their homage. After seeking blessings and performing the rituals at the temple, roam around in the neighbourhood and take in the mystical aura of the place.
In the evening, head to the hotel in Kedarnath. Enjoy a warm dinner meal and give your body the desired rest after such an eventful day.
Day 7
Travel from Kedarnath to Guptkashi
There is a lot more to do in Kedarnath and you will accomplish that today. Start your day before dawn and head to the temple to partake in the early morning rituals. It is the most spiritual experience to get in the solace of the Himalayan valley. It is also a beautiful place and time to sit down and meditate.
Then, witness the sun slowly rising over the great Himalayan ranges. The views of the firs rays colouring the sky is unmatched. After taking in such sweeping views, get back to the hotel and complete the check-out
formalities. Have breakfast and head to Gaurikund via trek. Similar to how you arrived, if you have chosen to ride the helicopter, then our representative will arrange for a drop to the helipad.
From Gaurikund, drive down to Guptkashi and check in at the hotel. Enjoy some local meal and end the day with a good night’s sleep.
Day 8
Travel from Guptkashi to Badrinath
Yet another day where you get to make many more memories. So do not waste your time and give it an early start. Have breakfast and head to the reception of the hotel in Guptkashi to complete the check-out procedures. A scenic car drive will take you to Badrinath. Upon arrival, you will check in to the hotel and venture out for some quick sightseeing. First and foremost, visit the Badrinath temple. But before you enter, you must take a dip in the Tap Kund. It translates to hot water spring that is set on the bank of the river Alaknanda. It is a necessary protocol to do so.
Then, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Spend time here interacting with the Indo-Mongolian locals and understand their culture. Bhum Pul is located on the other end of Mana village. It is a famous spot owing to a large rock that forms a natural bridge.
Then, visit the Vyas Gufa. This is also situated in close proximity to Mana village. It is said that Ved Vyas wrote the Mahabharata here and the puranic commentaries.
Return back to the hotel and spend a comfortable night in Badrinath
Day 9
Travel from Badrinath to Rudraprayag via Joshimath
Yet another early start, today you will have breakfast and check out from the hotel in Badrinath. A comfortable car drive will take you from Badrinath to Rudraprayag. This heavenly town is encircled by the emerald lakes, foaming rivers, glaciers and silver streams. The entire journey to the town is a sight for sore eyes.
You will be travelling to this enthralling destination via the small sacred town Joshimath. It is the winter seat of Lord Badri is of great importance to the devotees. Visit the Narsingh Temple that is dedicated to Lord Narasimha. People from all over come to this town to observe the shrinking right wrist of Narsingh idol, which continues to occur.
Continue your drive to the stunning town of Rudraprayag. On arrival, check in at the hotel to spend the overnight here.
Day 10
Departure day- Travel from Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh
